San Francisco Ferry Powered by Hybrid Wind Turbine Technology
Representatives from the National Park Service, Major Gavin Newsom’s office, NOAA and Save the Bay were among 85 people gathered to enjoy breakfast aboard the nation’s first hybrid ferry boat. The Hornblower, a wind, solar and diesel powered hybrid vessel, was unveiled this past December.
